Questions about a website with no upfront cost.

We hold the domain and the hosting. That is how the build costs you nothing upfront, and it is the one thing we do not budge on. Everything else about your business stays yours, including all of your money, and you can buy the site outright whenever you want.

No. Not a cent, not at any point. All of your customers’ money goes to your account. We send you a bill and you pay it separately.

If your site sells, we get paid every month for as long as it keeps selling. If it does not, we spent weeks on it for nothing. It is a bet on your business working, and it is a worse deal for us than charging you $4,000 upfront right up until the point your site starts making sales.

One invoice at the end of each month, worked out from the sales the site made that month, with the list of transactions it was worked out from attached so you can check it line by line. You pay it the way you pay any other supplier, and it is due 15 days after the invoice date. If we cannot read a month’s transaction data for some reason, we do not guess and we do not estimate. No invoice goes out until we can see the real figure.

No monthly fee, no setup fee, and no hosting or domain bill. We pay for the hosting and the domain out of the percentage. In a month with no sales you get no invoice at all.

A deposit is money paid online in advance to hold a booking: an appointment, a table, a repair slot, a session. That is the 10% rate. Everything else the site takes is the 5% rate, meaning product orders, full payments, and anything else paid for in full online. Both rates apply to the same business. A restaurant that takes a $50 deposit for a private party and also sells a $40 jar of its own sauce online is billed $5 and $2. A shop that never takes a deposit only ever meets the 5% rate. There is no band, no tier, and nothing to choose.

No. The percentage only applies to money that went through the site we built. A customer books online, pays a $50 deposit, then hands you $150 on the day in cash or on your card reader. We bill $5. The $150 earns us nothing, we never see it, and it is not our business. Cash, phone orders, Venmo and Zelle are all out of scope, even from the same customer on the same day.

At your first sale. Not at signup and not at launch. Until the site makes money you never get an invoice and you owe us nothing.

Then you get no invoice. Not a reduced one, not a minimum, none at all. One thing is attached to that, and we would rather you read it here than find it in the agreement: if the site makes no sales for three calendar months in a row, the arrangement ends on 30 days’ written notice. Any single sale resets the count to zero. At the end of the second empty month we write to you first, with an offer to help, because a site selling nothing usually has a fixable problem and fixing it is our job.

We hold the domain, the hosting and the code while we are working together, and you have the right to use all of it. Your content, your brand, your photos, your Stripe account, your Google listing and your social accounts are yours and always were. You can buy the whole thing outright at any time.

We register it, we pay for it every year, and it is registered in our name. That is the honest trade for a build that costs you nothing upfront, and it is why we put it on the homepage rather than in the small print. It transfers to you if you buy the site outright.

You can. You give notice, and how much notice depends on how long we have worked together. It is written into the agreement before you sign, and it is 30 days for anyone in their first six months. If you want to keep the site itself, you can buy it outright at any time: whatever you owe us, plus twelve months of fees. Once that is paid the domain transfers to a registrar account of your choosing and we help you move the site onto your own hosting.

First missed invoice, we write to you and you have time to pay. Second one, we write again. Third one, we write a final time with the exact date the site would come offline and what it takes to avoid it. If all three notices pass, the site is replaced with a holding page. Nothing is deleted, your customer data is kept intact, and the domain is not sold, parked or handed to anybody. The whole ladder takes months, and a person sends every notice.

We give you a window when we start, and the clock on it begins when you have sent us your photos, your service list and your payment access. Not at signup. Most delays are one missing folder of photos.

Yes. It is free, it is yours, the money lands in it and you keep it if you ever leave us. If you do not have one we walk you through setting it up. We also need developer access to it, which lets us wire up your checkout and read what the site sold. It does not let us move your money, and we would not want the ability to.

Say so in the form. It is a common situation and it does not disqualify you. We build you a new site rather than taking over the one you have, because building it around your business is the whole point. Our normal arrangement is that we register and hold the domain, so if you already own yours we settle in writing exactly what happens to it before you sign anything. It is never decided after the fact.

Then we change it. You see the site on a private link before anybody else does, you tell us what is wrong, and we keep going until you are happy. Changes are unlimited from the first draft, not just after launch, and nothing goes live until you say it goes live.

Any local business that takes bookings or sells online. Restaurants, mechanics, shops, trades, salons, appointment businesses of every kind. The two rates are set by the type of transaction, not the type of business, so there is no industry list to be on or off. The one thing that matters is whether your customers can realistically pay you through a website, because that is the only way we get paid.

Yes, and it is not a trick. New prices, new photos, a new service, a new page, a seasonal promotion. Ask and it gets done at no extra cost. The line is at genuinely big custom work, like a native phone app or an unusual integration with other software you run. That gets quoted as its own project starting at $500, and we tell you before we do anything, never after.

If the site is down or payments are broken we start on it within hours. Everything else we start on within days. Those are commitments about when we start, not promises about when it is fixed, because some causes sit with the host or the payment processor and not with us.

The homepage has a list of them, each one live on its own domain and each one a link you can open and check for yourself. Where a business on that list is family, it says so under the name. We are not going to show you numbers from clients who have not agreed to it, or invent results we cannot back up.

Yes. For every business you send us who signs up, your next invoice is waived in full.
